All press and analysts can register for the BREW 2007 press conference at www.brew2007.com. Please e-mail brew2007pr@qualcomm.com for qualification and to obtain a press/analyst registration code.

Q: What is the cost of registration for BREW 2007 for press and industry analysts?
A:
All qualifying press and industry analysts seeking to attend BREW 2007 can request a priority code from the Qualcomm Internet Services (QIS) public relations team at brew2007pr@qualcomm.com. This priority code waives the conference registration fee for qualifying members of the press/analyst community. Registration includes access to the full BREW 2007 conference schedule, including keynotes and special events.

Q: What qualifies a member of the press or industry analyst for a BREW 2007 priority code?
A:
BREW 2007 press/analyst registration is open to working journalists and industry analysts with commercial news organizations and research firms. This includes editors, reporters, producers, camera crews and still photographers. Registration for marketing, public relations, advertising, sales, art directors, presidents, vice presidents, managers, publishers and other non-editorial employees of media organizations are not considered working press and will not receive press credentials.

Please note: previous press/analyst priority code registration at prior BREW Conferences does not guarantee approval or waive the accreditation requirement. Also please note that completing the pre-registration process does not guarantee that you will receive a press/analyst credential.

Credential requirements for BREW 2007 are as follows:

Print & Newswire Reporters:
To qualify as media, print and newswire journalists must be able to provide proof of:
  • A copy of your business card with name, editorial title and media outlet's logo.
  • A bylined industry-related article from your publication written by you and published within the last six months (the copy must clearly show the name of your publication and your byline).
  • A copy of the masthead from a current issue of your publication showing your name.
Freelance Journalists and Photographers:
Please note: Freelance writers from unqualified media outlets will not be admitted.
To qualify as media, freelance journalists and photographers must be able to provide proof of:
  • A letter from a publisher, editor or producer (on their organization letterhead) stating that you are covering BREW 2007 on assignment for their news organization.
  • A bylined, industry-related article from the publication you're representing written by you and published within the last six months (the copy must clearly show the name of the publication and your byline).

Online Reporters:
Only journalists with commercial news Web sites or blogs qualify for BREW 2007 media badges. Sites must be previously established and updated regularly with original and current wireless industry news. Fan sites, personal Web site writers, designers, editors or creators do not qualify for press credentials.

To qualify as an online reporter you must be able to provide proof of:
  • A copy of your business card with name, editorial title and media outlet's logo.
  • A copy of your online publication with your name and title appearing in an editorial capacity, including a bylined, industry-related article from your publication written by you and published within the last six months (the copy must clearly show the name of the publication and your byline).
Please note that online media must meet all criteria below:
  • The Web site must have a paid reporting staff of two or more
  • The Web site must post original, dated, industry-related news at least once per week
  • Web site content must extend beyond newsletters, links, forums, personal diaries, opinion or personal analysis

Broadcast Journalists & Photographers:
Each member of a broadcast crew must register separately.

To qualify as media, broadcast journalists must you must be able to provide proof of:
  • A copy of your business card with name, editorial title and media outlet's logo.
  • A letter from a producer/editor (on company letterhead) stating that you are covering BREW 2007 on assignment.
Industry Analysts:
In order to qualify as media, industry analysts must hold an analyst title from a recognized research firm or organization and must be able to provide:
  • A copy of your business card with name, title and company logo.
  • A recent industry-related white paper, briefing, report or bulletin with your byline, published within the last six months. Reports must be relevant to the industry, made independently and not solicited by exhibiting companies.

Q: What if I'm a financial analyst? Can I receive a pass/credential for BREW 2007?
