The BREW® solution has clearly demonstrated that it connects the mobile marketplace value chain unlike any other wireless data solution. With operators around the world having launched BREW-enabled services, a global marketplace for BREW-based applications has evolved. For publishers and developers looking for additional revenue opportunities outside of their local regions, the BREW Global Publisher (BGP) program is the perfect model.
The BGP program helps facilitate the import and export of BREW-based applications across regions around the world. This ready-to-go model helps foreign publishers and developers access local operators without all the numerous legal, financial and operational issues. As a result, they can generate revenue quicker with little or no up-front costs.

Additional benefits:Foreign Publishers and Developers

- No need to obtain local handsets directly by themselves
- Leverage BGPs expertise in marketing, promotion, customer support and relationships with local operators
- Steady stream of BREW-based applications from a wide variety of global BREW publishers and developers thereby increasing business opportunities
- Leverage Qualcomm's relationship with the global BREW publisher/developer community
- More applications available to them sooner means increased revenue
- No need to differentiate treatment of local or foreign publishers/developers/applications means operational simplification and lower costs
How It Works
As the BREW solution helps develop the global wireless market and continues to gain support from operators and publishers/developers around the world, Qualcomm will actively engage local publishers with sufficient knowledge and expertise in not only the deployment of their own applications, but also the commercialization of applications developed by companies in other regions.
Through a detailed review process, Qualcomm will identify a selective group of local publishers in each region to be designated a BGP in that region. Then, leveraging on its reach in the global development community, Qualcomm actively facilitates introduction between BGPs and BREW publishers/developers around the world, thereby working to ensure a constant flow of applications across various regions where operators offer BREW-based services.
