1. Q: What do we need to do in order to change our payee address, where our payments are mailed?
A: You need be an authenticated developer in order to change your payee address. Please send email to brew-support@qualcomm.com with your new payee address and we will process the change in our corporate payable system. If your request is simply a location change within the U.S., it will be processed immediately. If your new address is in a different country, or is the result of an acquisition/sale, then we will first need to consult our Legal department.
2. Q: What do we need to do in order to change our company/payee name?
A: You need be an authenticated developer in order to change your company name. Please send email to brew-support@qualcomm.com with your new information. Once your request is received, our Product Support and Legal departments will work together to determine the nature of the name change and will then process it appropriately. Additional information may be required before the name change can be completed.
3. Q: What do we need to do in the case of an acquisition or merger?
A: If you continue to do business as your old company name, no action is required. If you need to operate under a different company name, then you can use your internet browser to connect to path name https://brewx.qualcomm.com/developer/support.jsp to access the BREW Support email address. Please email the request and your new information. Once your request is received, our Product Support and Legal departments will work together to determine the nature of the name change and will then process it appropriately. Additional information may be requested before the name change can be completed.
4. Q: If we change our company name, will our old reports/stats/usage transfer to the new company name?
A: The system currently supports a generic developer name key. If your account was initially set up with a generic name in the name key, then the name of your company can change without impacting reports/stats/usage. However, if your account was set up with a name-specific key then you may need to be set up with a new account. If so, then you will have to run your reports using both the old and new company names until applications associated with the old company name key are no longer coming into the BREW system.
