Qualcomm Hosts First All China BREW Developers' Conference

We've said it before and we'll say it again - the beauty of BREW is the ability for developers around the world to easily develop applications, provide them to carriers worldwide and to get paid for them. Developers in China can get better acquainted with the BREW platform by attending the First All China Qualcomm BREW Developers' Conference, March 5-7, 2002, in Beijing.

The conference will feature keynote talks by Dr. Paul Jacobs, president of Qualcomm's Wireless & Internet Group, Dr. WonPyo Hong, executive vice president of KTFreeTel's New Business Group, and Leo Zhang, vice president of strategic business development for Qualcomm CDMA Technologies. Dr. Jacobs will open the conference with his talk, "A Powerful Platform for Wireless Data Applications." Dr. Hong will discuss KTFreeTel's experience as the first carrier in the world to launch BREW-enabled services. Zhang will end the keynote session with a talk focused on the presence of wireless data and 3G CDMA in China.

The conference will also feature a series of sessions in both a business and technical track. A variety of different courses will provide developers with information about the technical aspects of the BREW platform, getting started with the BREW SDK (Chinese edition), monetization options, the BREW platform and how it works with other wireless solutions, as well as developer insight about BREW from around the world.
