Rural Operator Orders BREW Applications

Western Wireless, operator of the rural network operator, Cellular One has signed an agreement with Qualcomm which will enable the wireless carrier to provide BREW based products and services to its subscribers.

"The agreement allows Western Wireless to provide its Cellular One customers with a new wireless service that lets them customize their handsets with the latest games, ringtones, and other entertainment and business applications," said Jerry Gallegos, vice president of marketing at Western Wireless Corporation, operator of Cellular One. "We feel that the BREW technology and its applications will exceed the needs of our customers while strengthening our competitiveness."
